National Plastic Industries proudly participated in Plast Nepal 2024, a landmark exhibition that brought together key stakeholders from across South Asia's plastic manufacturing sector. Held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, the three-day event ran under the banner of India's Plastic Export Promotion Council, attracting over 150 participants and showcasing 45 stalls from Indian companies.

Our participation at Plast Nepal 2024 underscores our commitment to fostering cross-border partnerships, adopting cutting-edge technologies, and contributing meaningfully to Nepal's growing plastic industry — currently valued at around NPR 60 billion.

Key Highlights of the Event:

  • Inauguration by Nepal’s Industry Minister: The exhibition was formally opened by Hon. Damodar Bhandari, Nepal’s Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies. His address emphasized public-private collaboration as a driver for economic transformation, promising regulatory reforms aimed at enhancing domestic production and export capacity.

  • Showcasing Innovation: At our stall, National Plastic Industries presented a wide range of high-performance plastic products, including sustainable alternatives and advanced packaging solutions. Our display attracted interest from business delegates, procurement teams, and technology experts seeking reliable, future-ready plastic solutions.

  • Regional Collaboration & Market Insights: Plast Nepal 2024 provided an ideal setting for National Plastic Industries to engage in B2B discussions with regional manufacturers, distributors, and policymakers. These exchanges are instrumental in aligning our product development with emerging market demands and compliance standards.

  • India-Nepal Trade Synergy: With India exporting over USD 11.6 billion worth of plastic products globally in 2023-24, the bilateral trade potential in the plastics domain remains substantial. As a participant, we reaffirmed our role in supporting Nepal’s industrial ecosystem by ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality plastic materials and components.

Looking Ahead

Plast Nepal 2024 was more than just a showcase — it was a call to action for manufacturers to innovate, collaborate, and grow together. National Plastic Industries remains dedicated to sustainable manufacturing, regional cooperation, and customer-centric innovation that contributes to Nepal’s industrial development.

We extend our thanks to the event organizers, fellow participants, and visitors who made Plast Nepal 2024 a resounding success. We look forward to continuing this journey of growth and partnership across South Asia.
