1983 A.D.
Mr. Mohan Prasad Ghimire, the founder of National Plastic Industries, established a plastic recycling company with the vision of repurposing waste materials into valuable plastic products, laying the foundation for one of Nepal’s earliest and most enduring plastic manufacturing enterprises.
1995 A.D.
Later, National Plastic Industries expanded its operations to include the manufacturing of products using fresh raw materials. This marked a significant step in the company’s growth, enabling the production of high-quality items such as LDPE, HDPE, and Polypropylene in the form of sheets and bags.
2000 A.D.
By 2000 AD, National Plastic Industries had already established itself as a leading name in Nepal's plastic manufacturing sector, recognized for its quality, reliability, and industry expertise.
2001 A.D.
In 2001, Mr. Subodh Ghimire (Chairman) returned from the United States and joined the family business, continuing the legacy of Mr. Mohan Prashad Ghimire with a renewed vision for growth and modernization.
Early 2000's
Mr. Subodh Ghimire contributed to the broader industrial sector by serving as a formal advisor to FNCCI and as the General Secretary of the PET Association Nepal.
2019
In 2019, Mrs. Shailaja Khanal Ghimire joined the organization as Managing Director. She also holds key positions in the industrial community, serving as the Treasurer of the Balaju Industries Development Association and as a member of the Nepal Industrial Area Industries Association.
2023
In 2023, Mr. Suvanga Ghimire, the grandson of the founder, joined the business as Director, representing the third generation of the Ghimire family and bringing fresh energy and vision to the organization.
2024
By the end of 2024, Mr. Suvanga Ghimire had already begun steering the company in a new direction, emphasizing a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to plastic manufacturing and recycling. This progressive shift earned the company recognition and memberships from respected organizations such as PlastNepal Foundation, PET Association Nepal, Nepal Industrial Area Industries Association, and Balaju Industries Development Association.
Future
Looking ahead, National Plastic Industries aims to strengthen its position as a pioneer in sustainable plastic solutions, embracing innovation, eco-conscious practices, and global standards to meet the evolving needs of the industry and environment.
